IT Support Specialist, Parallel Learning

• 3-5+ years of IT support experience, with at least 2 years in security/compliance roles
• Demonstrated experience with FERPA, COPPA, or ISO27001 compliance
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
• Experience managing distributed teams' IT needs remotely
• Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and mobile device management
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with networking, firewalls, and email systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Self-motivated with exceptional time management abilities
• Must be authorized to work in the US (we do not sponsor)
• Identity and Access Management (IAM) implementation
• Security monitoring and incident response
• Google Workspace administration
• Network security and firewall configuration
• PowerShell or Python scripting
• Help desk ticketing systems (Zendesk preferred)

• As our IT Support Specialist, you'll own the entire technology support ecosystem—from configuring school district integrations to managing security protocols that protect children's educational and health information
• You'll be the guardian of our technical infrastructure, ensuring FERPA and COPPA compliance while providing exceptional support to team members across all departments

• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Manage identity and access management (IAM) across all platforms

• Lead security awareness training for all team members
• Coordinate with legal and compliance teams on data protection requirements
• Provide remote technical support to 400+ distributed team members
• Configure and troubleshoot school district IT integrations (firewalls, SMTP, networking)
• Manage Google Workspace and other SaaS environments
• Oversee device management and compliance through MDM solutions
• Maintain internal IT documentation and knowledge base
• Handle escalated technical issues from customer-facing teams
• Monitor application performance through Sentry and Datadog
• Manage feature flags and controlled rollouts via LaunchDarkly
• Perform database operations and data management tasks
• Analyze system logs to identify and resolve issues proactively
• Collaborate with engineering on bug reports and technical investigations
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and Python scripts
