Who you are

  • Experience as a Personal Assistant (PA) or Executive Assistant (EA), ideally within a high-growth, global company
  • Proven ability to manage complex calendars and logistics for senior executives
  • Experience handling expense reports and team budgets
  • Experience coordinating marketing or PR-related activities is a plus
  • Highly organised – Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication – Clear, professional, and adaptable communication style
  • Problem-solving mindset – Proactively identifies and resolves scheduling/logistical challenges
  • Tech-savvy – Comfortable using Google Suite, Slack, and other collaboration tools
  • Discretion & confidentiality – Handles sensitive information with the highest level of integrity
  • Self-starter – Takes initiative and works independently with minimal guidance
  • Team player – Builds strong relationships and collaborates effectively across teams

What the job involves

  • We're looking for an Executive Assistant to support our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Director of Global Communications. This role will be based out of our London office and will play a critical part in managing schedules, coordinating key meetings, overseeing logistics, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • You will also provide ad hoc support to the broader leadership team and assist in coordinating key marketing and global communications team activities
  • This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, global environment, supporting senior leaders in a company that is changing the way money moves around the world
  • Calendar Management – Manage complex schedules, resolve meeting conflicts, ensure time for strategic discussions, and proactively adjust as priorities shift
  • Meeting Coordination – Arrange internal and external meetings, including room bookings, agenda preparation, and follow-ups
  • Travel Arrangements – Organize flights, accommodation, visas, and itineraries for business travel
  • Expense Reports – Process and track expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Team Expense Management – Manage and track marketing expenses, including ownership of the marketing credit card
  • Minutes & Action Tracking – As needed, attend meetings with the Director of Global Communications, capturing key decisions and actions in meetings, and following up to ensure completion
  • Event & Logistics Coordination – Arrange logistics for PR team offsites and events as needed
  • Ad Hoc Support – Assist senior marketing leads with administrative needs, including room bookings and catering
  • Direct Report Assistance – Provide ad hoc administrative support for the CMO’s direct reports as needed

Our take

Wise started when the two founders realised they would be better off trading Estonian kroons for British pounds (and vice versa) between themselves rather than going through banks. That was back in 2011, and they've since grown Wise into one of Europe's most successful tech businesses, exchanging billions of currency every month.

Wise rapidly grew by solving a significant problem for customers, who lost too much money to banks when exchanging currency. They've attracted investment from some of the best investors in the world, from Andreesen Horowitz to Index Ventures and even Richard Branson.

The challenge for Wise will be maintaining their edge and brand power in a market that's becoming increasingly crowded with new entrants (like Revolut and Monzo) and incumbents (traditional banks) trying to catch up. To do so, the company is ramping up its digital and marketing strategies, as well as pushing for further development of its existing products.
