For example, Over 30% of obese subscribers have shown positive weight loss results, and subscribers with hypertension have shown an average reduction of 10 mm hg in systolic blood pressure. With registered dieticians consulting and guiding subscriber meal plans, the company has smartly carved a science-first niche in the multi-billion dollar meal plan delivery service market.

Foodsmart has worked with hundreds of employers including Walmart, Cigna, and Instacart to improve the health of their employees. Most recent funding comes from Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System, with which Foodsmart hopes to advance its "food is medicine" philosophy, further enabling patients to follow through with specific, personalized nutrition guidance led by their physicians.
