We’ve seen a slew of major brands jumping into the NFT market over recent months. It’s not just a question of latching on to the most recent buzzy thing: NFTs, as part of Web3 more broadly, are being seen by marketers as a way to draw in younger consumers, foster brand communities, and encourage brand loyalty - all key aspects of maintaining a successful DTC business. Novel is hoping to make this business opportunity more accessible, through a no-code platform designed to help more commerce brands design, launch, and profit from NFTs.
The platform launched on Shopify in early 2022, intending to make the NFT experience as seamless as the shopping experience digital consumers are currently used to. It uses the eco-friendly Polygon platform to keep gas fees and transaction speeds low.
All in all, it’s a feature-rich platform that looks set to deliver on its easy-use promises. Much will depend on how far and how fast consumers and brands are willing to commit to NFTs as part of the commerce experience - and whilst this seems likely, fluctuations in the still-precarious NFT market mean it’s no guarantee. Nevertheless, Novel is offering a new and comprehensive service, and could see good growth in the market takes off.
