Company mission

To deliver efficient and engaging learning experiences for billions of people worldwide by bridging the gap between learning apps and human tutors.

Our take

Learning a new language is no mean feat, but the era of learning apps has certainly made it simpler and more accessible than ever before. Praktika hopes to improve the experience even more. It employs GenAI avatars to make the language learning experience feel more natural.

Through the Praktika app, users can access 1-to-1 tutorship powered by these avatars, which have individualized backgrounds and a range of accents. The company's aim is to combine the precision of a tutor with the fun of an app, supplying lessons, practice and feedback through a colourful UI.

Aiming to compete with tutorship rather than other learning apps, Praktika stands out as a cost-effective way for individuals to access 1-to-1 learning on their own schedule. This approach resulted in its 2024 fundraising of $35.5M, which is being used to heighten the app experience, improve avatar accuracy and add new languages.
