Our take
Unexploded ordnance is the name given to explosive devices that have not yet detonated, but still pose a risk of exploding. The safe removal and disposal of such devices is vital for public safety and land development. Brimstone supplies a range of unexploded ordnance (UXO) services designed to identify and mitigate UXO-associated risks. This includes site surveying and risk assessment, as well as clearing and disposal options.
Where the company stands out is in its application of drone technology. It deploys its own modified off-the-shelf UAVs to survey and detect for unexploded ordnance in typically tough-to-access environments. The drones are fitted with a range of technologies that capture precise 3D models of the land and identify risks that may otherwise be missed.
In addition to this, Brimstone has worked to bolster its capabilities by integrating artificial intelligence into its services. Upon launch, its MOSAIC platform will enable real-time analysis of raw data, significantly speeding up UXO surveying for its clients. This is an exciting addition to its capabilities, and should further differentiate it from competitors.
