What the job involves
- The Honest Company is looking for an Associate Brand Manager to help shape the future of our Adult & All Family Operating Unit
- In this role, you will blend creativity, consumer insights, and business acumen to drive forward-thinking brand strategies and product innovations
- You will collaborate cross-functionally with teams in sales, creative, product development, and more to identify and execute new opportunities that enhance our portfolio and resonate with our consumers
- This role is perfect for a dynamic, strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about shaping the future of adult personal care
- Identify whitespace opportunities by analyzing consumer trends, market data, and competitive landscapes to fuel strategic innovation in adult personal care
- Develop and execute new product innovation strategies from ideation to commercialization, ensuring market differentiation and consumer relevance
- Drive long-term brand and portfolio strategy, contributing to a 3-year innovation roadmap that aligns with business objectives
- Lead cross-functional innovation initiatives, partnering with teams across R&D, marketing, sales, and operations to bring concepts to life
- Support brand storytelling and positioning, crafting compelling consumer narratives that reinforce Honest’s leadership in adult personal care and wellness
- Optimize product portfolio and contribute to create go-to-market strategies, leveraging data and insights to improve profitability, drive demand, and enhance the overall brand experience
Our take
Honest sells clean, sustainable, well-designed products with a focus on health, wellness and the mother and baby market. Driven by a responsibility to people and the planet - and responding to the calls for sustainability by the more conscious consumer - the company champions diverse, inclusive and ethical practices such as label transparency and 100% recycled packaging.
Although the company has seen successes, and went public in 2021, it also experienced a slew of class action lawsuits over potentially harmful ingredients, in strange and stark contrast to the safe products it intended to sell. Many of its offerings have since been reformulated, and the company itself has restructured its strategy, seeming to put it back on good footing despite the rocky road at its back.
