Foodsteps has developed a database that contains the environmental impact of more than 1,000 ingredients. Leveraging this, the company helps both brands and food service providers to calculate and communicate the footprint of menus and products.
The company's long-term goal is to make sustainability an easy choice for food businesses. To this end, its platform also enables companies to monitor reductions in emissions, set targets and print their own environmental labels. In 2024, Foodsteps was acquired by Registrar Corp, which sees it gain access to a global market of over 32,000 companies - a great chance to broaden its reach
