The culture's great and as such, everyone loves going to work. Every day has a different challenge and we all bring bags of enthusiasm to solving problems. We recognise our different strengths and work collaboratively to get stuff done!

With every piece of work that one does, there is a tangible link to how it will be used in a real world sense that really motivates you. You start to think that "everything I'm doing at some point will be providing meaningful benefits".

There are so many domain experts at Alchera. If there is any problem there is always someone you can lean on and get help from. By being surrounded by such a group of intelligent hard working people you really feel how fast you can develop.

You never once feel like you are small cog in a wheel. The company culture has clear values and within that it can start to feel like an extended family.

Everyone is intelligent, so everyone brings their ideas forward and can learn from others. I feel like the best ideas win when we have challenges to solve, which brings a good vibe to the team.

I travel a lot around the country, so it's satisfying to be working on keeping buses on time and stopping traffic jams caused by roadworks. Our sales team are good at finding customers we can actually solve big transport problems with.

We're a great company size where everyone knows each other, but great work is still called out at all-company meetings.

At Alchera I've had the opportunity to learn tons as we're a small team so you can be involved in a lot of different topics and specialities. This means you can make your own mistakes :D and importantly learn from them!

Good (physical) infrastructure that works for everyone is naturally something valuable for everyone that uses roads, trains and footpaths (aka everyone!). To be able to help in this space is certainly rewarding.

It's a small startup and you get to know everyone. Everyone is lovely and ready to help you if you need support in anyway. And they certainly won't shy away from a trip to the pub.

There is not really any dogmatic thinking in terms of tech stack and technologies at Alchera. There are plenty of opportunities to explore interesting ways to solve a problem. There are dedicated days for R&D and learning.

I think the problems that Alchera tries to address are extremely important and has ties to many of the most important modern generational challenges.

I’m in my first month and am already writing code and creating features for our core product. Great place to come and ply your craft and learn new approaches.

We’re using data and ML and applying these to really significant customer problems that deliver them real value.

We’re onboarding customers at a good rate and building momentum in 2022 towards ambitious targets!

Being a small team, there are many times when I get pulled into other projects where help is needed. It's not always in my area of expertise, but it's a fantastic opportunity to get involved with other people and learn something new. This happens quite frequently at the moment and (hope) it will continue well into the future.

Many of the employees at Alchera have advanced degrees and are experts in their academic fields. This makes for hugely interesting pub conversations on a wide range of topics. There's never a dull moment, that's for sure!

I find the overall company environment unique in that it is very supportive of failure and quick to recognise success. Many companies I've experienced are exactly the opposite. If you're looking for a great place to push yourself and be rewarded for your successes, Alchera is the place.

The team at Alchera are razor sharp - from creative and insightful ideas to build new commercial partnerships, to algorithm design for our next set of models. The team collectively takes a pragmatic approach to solving the highest priority problems in the most direct ways. I feel constantly inspired to take new perspectives to try to draw incisive conclusions by my teammates.

We take "gold standard delivery" seriously at Alchera - it is how we win and retain business - and so the work ethic for delivering internally and for our customers always drives us to produce pragmatic solutions to a high standard. The team at Alchera really care about the products we are building and the impact they can have on the future of the transport industry, and so put in the time and care that reflects that.

Keeping lines of communication open is how we build excellent products and an excellent place to work - whether it be for psychological safety in the company all the way to sharing new learnings from a customer to inform product development. We have a feedback culture of "assuming positive intent" and regular all hands and townhall meetings to share progress and post updates on our collective wins and constructive ways we think we can improve.
