Role

Who you are

  • Unacast is seeking a Sales Director who is a driven and experienced self-starter with a proven sales track record
  • The successful candidate should be able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and must be singularly driven by results
  • If you have sold subscription services, enterprise solutions/software, location intelligence/ geospatial data or other big data/analytics products -and get excited by these things, we’d love to talk to you!
  • 2+ years of experience in a sales role, ideally as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) or similar role focused on software, data, or analytics products. Experience with location intelligence/ geospatial data is a plus
  • A hunter mentality with outbound prospecting experience to identify new logos
  • Team-oriented and customer focused, with the ability to understand customer challenges and demonstrate how Unacast’s data products can solve them
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively present and communicate a value proposition in front of large groups, including executives, and the ability to think on your feet
  • Process driven with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, organization, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills
  • Willingness to travel, when necessary, for client meetings, conventions, quarterly business reviews

What the job involves

  • Understand the impact of location and context, and craft opportunity specific value propositions for prospective customers on your own
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to assess and qualify opportunities quickly
  • Build and grow a pipeline of prospects, prioritizing opportunities and moving them through the sales cycle
  • Close deals to deliver against revenue targets
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts and business updates to leadership
  • Maintain detailed account plans and keep our CRM (Hubspot) current
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to uncover new opportunities

Our take

Unacast runs a large proximity network powered by location data sourced from apps on consumers’ smartphones. This data is then used to help businesses better understand their customers, and to conduct highly targeted marketing campaigns based on their behaviours.

Unlike Facebook and Google, which collect user data from their own products, Unacast relies on a network of data supplier partners that provide GPS signals. This allows companies to understand where their customers shop, how far they drive to get there, and even how long they spend in certain locations.

In 2022 its expanded its data solution to include UK trends, opening up a valuable new market for the business. Unacast has grown to become a major player in the location insights market, processing over 15 billion data points each day from more than 10 million users globally.
