Our take
The technology we use every day is evolving at a faster rate than ever, and risks leaving behind older generations less used to using new software. Waltz is an IT support company that specifically assists older people, helping them gain independence and confidence online.
The New York-based IT outfit aims to make IT more accessible through human-to-human interaction, catering to the form of help that older people feel most comfortable with. The company offers IT training and call centre assistance from seasoned IT experts, helping customers update software, set up email accounts and hard drives.
A novel concept, Waltz’s tailored focus on older generations and the methods of learning and communication they’re most comfortable with has a lot of promise. Here’s to hoping it can expand its team and help even more people become fluent with new technology.
