Our take
Many high-level investment opportunities are solely reserved for financial institutions. This means that top-tier equity funds are completely out of reach for most private investors. Moonfare solves this problem by giving individuals access to institution-level investing.
Moonfare's platform allows investors to participate in funding rounds offered by some of the biggest investing companies, including The Carlyle Group and Tiger Global. The company offers investment opportunities with investment minimums as low as €50,000, which is about 100x less than the traditional minimum. So, while not everyone can afford to make investments through the company, a much larger pool of people have the ability to enter private markets.
Moonfare is headed up by an impressive team of KKR, BlackRock, Amazon and J.P. Morgan alums, which adds significant credibility to its product. The platform has also grown considerably since launching and more recently partnered with Fundcraft to enhance its digital infrastructure, automate fund administration, KYC, and capital call processes. This integration enables eligible investors to register and invest directly online in minutes, an exciting feat which will surely catch the eye of many investors.
