Work-life balance is becoming more and more valued, and modern workers want tools to help them maintain it. Devyce, founded in 2020, supplies a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone system, that allows users to access their work number on their primary devices through the Devyce app. Through its Management Portal, account holders can also allocate and deallocate employee numbers, as well as access metrics about call and messaging history.
VoIP systems, also employed for instance by WhatsApp and Signal, have their calls and texts travel through the internet instead of by phone line. Devyce’s digital numbers can be used anywhere via WiFi or mobile data, and do not require a second handset – eliminating the need for a work phone. Through the app, users can customise Do Not Disturb features for their Devyce number, providing a simple way to better manage work-time and down-time.
The company has raised early funding to expand its operations and grow its business reach. In response to the re-introduction of roaming charges, Devyce launched Xpatphone, an app for UK mobile users living or working abroad to continue using their UK numbers free of roaming charges, allowing the company to serve a wider client base.
