Podcasting and audiobook listening has exploded in popularity, with the flexibility of listening while doing other activities driving much of this market growth. Podimo is a podcast and audiobook platform taking the Nordic Countries by storm with its service.
The company boasts a close connection with the creators on its platform, which is appealing because other sites have been infamous for treating creators poorly. For example, Podimo's revenue-share model is not based on the size of a creator's following - which makes it particularly attractive to newer podcasters.
Despite large rivals like Apple, Spotify, and Google, Podimo has been standing its ground, and was named the fastest-growing podcast service in Finland. It has secured good funding and made some acquisitions over the years. It also impressively surpassed 1 million paying subscribers in 2025, in only its fifth year of operations.
