Who you are

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in a SaaS sales role, with a proven track record of working with product teams
  • Sales Skills: Strong sales skills with a history of meeting or exceeding targets, excellent negotiation and closing skills

What the job involves

  • You will be leading sales for a new product which supports schools in managing their absences and substitutes. There is massive scope for growth of this product and we are looking for someone to drive it to product market fit
  • Involves owning the overall strategy and collaborating with product teams to build something that will solve problems for schools
  • Reporting to the US Head of Sales, you will work alongside customer success teams to deliver a fantastic product and service to schools. This role offers you the opportunity to grow your career while contributing to a meaningful mission
  • Ownership: You will own the development and sales of our new SaaS product which supports schools to manage their absences and substitutes
  • Collaborating with Product Teams: Work closely with product teams to align sales strategies with product development and enhancements
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive SaaS product adoption and revenue growth
  • Client Onboarding and Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions
  • Partner with Customer Success: To give ongoing support for schools
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends and competitors, using this knowledge to inform product and sales strategies
  • Customer Feedback Integration: Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for product improvement and innovation
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, customer support, and other teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Travel Opportunities: Attend conferences, events, and school meetings to build relationships and promote our solutions

With UK schools under immense financial pressure, Zen Educate is providing a smarter approach to education staffing. Recruitment in schools often relies on inefficient and expensive practices. Zen Educate is focused on tackling the pain points in the industry and providing a way to ensure schools get the best teachers possible.

It provides an online platform as an alternative to recruitment agencies, which is the only online platform accredited by the UK's Department of Education, helping schools fill staffing needs quickly and cost-effectively. Schools using the platform have reportedly saved 20-30% on supply cover costs. Zen Educate aims to save the education system £14 million per year by 2024 with its smarter approach.

Zen also operates Zen Locum, a service aimed at solving similar problems for pharmacies and opticians. Offering higher rates and greater flexibility than bigger locum health services such as Tesco Pharmacy, it has already seen high uptake with over 500 new joiners a month.
