Who you are
- A can-do attitude, a passion for learning, and a creative approach to solving complex problems
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in the gaming industry
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL with an understanding of relational and NoSQL database concepts and query optimization techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation
- Experience working with large-scale datasets using technologies such as BigQuery/Redshift/Snowflake, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc
- Prior experience with mobile game datasets or a strong interest in gaming is a plus
What the job involves
- As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will play an important role in harnessing the power of data to drive insights, support internal teams in decision-making, and enhance player experiences
- You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines, ensuring efficient data flow and integration across systems
- Additionally, you will create and manage scalable data architectures, implement data quality checks, and develop dashboards for comprehensive data analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, define metrics, and develop dashboards and reports to monitor game performance and player behavior
- Maintain, develop and design scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and analyze large volumes of game-related data
- Optimize and tune SQL queries for performance and efficiency to support real-time and batch processing requirements
- Perform analysis of game telemetry data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization and monetization
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data engineering, analytics, and gaming
