To empower healthcare professionals to work better, together.
18% employee growth in 12 months
An ageing, overworked and shrinking nursing workforce, along with growing demand for healthcare services, has led to a concerning shortfall of healthcare staff in the US. IntelyCare’s remarkable growth over recent years suggests the company has found a promising solution: an online marketplace of well-paid, quick-to-fill per diem nursing shifts.
The idea is that nurses can operate as gig workers, crafting a personalized, well-remunerated work schedule that fits around other commitments, while healthcare institutions can more easily source adequate staffing. It’s a good model, but one that requires strong participation. With competitors including Clipboard Health and ShiftMed, splitting off a market share could prove challenging.
Nevertheless, success have been strong for IntelyCare, with impressive revenue growth and expansion of its marketplace. The company earned Unicorn status in 2022, a reflection of the depth of the nursing crisis it is addressing. In 2026 it acquired CareRev, an on-demand workforce platform specialised to acute care, which allows it to deliver an even more comprehensive staffing platform for healthcare.
