Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend engineering, with a focus on building modern and intuitive user interfaces
- Understanding of fundamental design principles around responsive and user-friendly applications
- Strong proficiency in modern frontend technologies such as React, TailwindCSS, and experience with complex single-page applications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
What the job involves
- We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be responsible for building high-performing, complex front-end features. You’ll have the opportunity to flex beyond the typical scope of a Frontend Engineer by improving our planning, development, deployment processes, and more
- Design, implement, maintain, and improve the user interface for our developer portal
- Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to build new features and enhance existing ones
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code that adheres to best practices
- Continually improve existing planning, development, and deployment processes
- Ensure our product is up to date with the latest frontend technologies
Our take
Cortex is tackling the challenges faced by engineering teams and SREWs working with microservices. Its software platform gives companies the visibility and control they need over their microservices and cloud infrastructure, making it easier to develop and manage the applications and services they build.
To meet the growing demand for more services, Cortex launched the Cortex Resource Catalog, expanding the platform's ability to manage more assets. With a rapidly growing customer base that includes companies like Dobe, Brex, Grammarly, Palo Alto Networks, and SoFi, Cortex is providing the flexibility these businesses need to create innovative new use cases.
Backed by funding from Tiger Global and Sequoia Capital, Cortex is set to enhance the platform further. With plans to improve features based on user feedback, build better tools to support new teams and developers, and expand its reach globally. These efforts position Cortex for continued growth and innovation in the evolving microservices and cloud infrastructure space.
