What the job involves
- Vacasa is looking for a Senior Data Analyst. You will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will lead complex analytical projects, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our business strategies. Your insights will directly impact operational efficiency, revenue growth, and the overall guest and owner experience
- Lead Data Analysis Projects: Oversee and execute complex data analysis initiatives to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making
- Develop Advanced Dashboards and Reports: Create and maintain sophisticated dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate key performance metrics to stakeholders and senior leadership
- Strategic Insights: Provide in-depth ad-hoc analyses to support business strategies, including revenue optimization, market expansion, and customer segmentation
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Marketing, Product, Finance, and other teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and implement data-driven solutions
- Enhance Data Infrastructure: Partner with the Data Products team to improve data infrastructure, ensure data integrity, and streamline data collection and reporting processes
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data analysts, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation."

Vacasa is one of the largest companies operating within the short-term rental industry in the US. It provides an end-to-end property management service to its global portfolio of over 35,000 properties.
Founded in 2009, Vacasa hit Unicorn status ten years later, and started trading publicly through a SPAC merger in 2021. Part of this success is due to the company's efficient automated listing and pricing system, plus the buy-ups of popular destination communities. This departed from the historically fragmented vacation rentals market, and allows Vacasa to offer incredibly competitive prices in hundreds of destinations.
Moving forwards, the company is planning on investing in its supply in both existing markets and new markets. With three-quarters of rental homes being outside of the US, Vacas has started expanding internationally into Mexico, Canada, Belize, and Costa Rica, indicating a gradual move towards South American markets.
