Role
Who you are
- You have 3+ years of experience in web development, with a focus on frontend technologies
- You have a solid understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, and React. Experience with Next.js and Node.js is a big plus
- You’re comfortable collaborating with designers, developers, and stakeholders to craft user-friendly interfaces
- You enjoy solving problems and can balance moving quickly with taking the time to write clean, maintainable code
- You’re proactive and thrive in a collaborative environment, contributing to both the technical and cultural growth of the team
- Familiarity with data interactions involving MySQL / Postgres databases
- Familiarity with Git workflows such as feature branching and pull requests to manage codebase changes and collaboration within a team
Desirable
- You have 2-3 years of experience in a full stack development role, including backend systems design and development.
- You are proficient with Node.js and have experience building RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- You are comfortable working with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including query optimization and schema design
- Experience with ORM frameworks such as Prisma or Sequelize
- You have a solid understanding of DevOps practices, such as CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Docker, and cloud services (AWS, Vercel, or similar)
- Familiarity with CraftCMS or other headless CMS platforms
- You are skilled in integrating third-party APIs securely and efficiently
- You have experience working with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) in frameworks like Next.js
- You have an interest in or experience with building scalable architectures and maintaining production-grade applications
What the job involves
- Build, maintain, and enhance scalable, interactive web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Collaborate with the design and UX teams to translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive web pages
- Work closely with developers to ensure seamless API integrations, particularly with GraphQL and headless CMS platforms
- Utilise Tailwind CSS to deliver highly efficient and visually appealing UI components
- Contribute to the architecture and implementation of new features, ensuring best practices in frontend development
- Lead the way in creating reusable components and optimising the performance of our web applications
- Stay current with trends in frontend development to bring fresh ideas to our projects
- Work with team collaboration tools such as Monday.com, Slack and Basecamp
