Lemonaid is a telehealth medical service. They bring users a team of dedicated full time doctors and nurses licensed in every state, accessible via the app, telephone or video call. They will diagnose and recommend treatment or prescribe medication for over 30 physical and mental health disorders from the comfort of home, for a flat consultation fee of $25. Not only do they provide diagnosis and prescription, they also address a main pain point of those in need of medical supplies, by offering a quick, discreet and affordable medicine delivery service.
Competitors like Nurx. and Dr+ On Demand have led the way during a rise in the need for more extensive tech enabled healthcare options. Lemonaid’s $33m Series B funding in summer 2020 enabled them to expand its team of medical professionals. Continuing with the planned increase in the number of services being offered to patients, Lemonaid are integrating treatment for asthma, hypertension, Type 2 diabetes and more mental health services into their platform.
The COVID-19 pandemic change the way consumers interact with healthcare, providers are seeing 50 to 175 times the number of patients via telehealth platforms than they were before the outbreak. Lemonaid believes that the significant increase in demand will continue long after the pandemic is over, with users now feeling safer receiving primary care from the comfort of their homes.
