To make access to, receipt of and discharge from mental healthcare swifter, simpler and safer.
When a close friend of the founder was sectioned under the Mental Health Act (MHA), he couldn't believe that an emergency care pathway was managed by moving around paper forms. He was further shocked that access to treatment would be delayed while he waited for a set of forms to be circulated and eventually 'signed off'. Thinking there must be a more empathetic and efficient way of assessing and treating an individual in crisis, Arden and Ross decided to found Thalamos.
Thalamos was developed through a combination of focus group research, lived experience, and consultations with mental health professionals. It harnesses technology to face the digital challenges posed to mental healthcare. Its team builds and deploys software solutions to improve outcomes in the assessment and treatment of Mental Illness. It supports clients in the coordination of urgent care across organisations and geographies, including the NHS, Social care, the CQC, private healthcare providers, and police services. Thalamos deploys intuitive, joined-up solutions across complex and disparate medico-legal pathways spanning multiple organisations to deliver high-quality data for mental health services.
Thalamos software is currently in use across England by NHS Trusts, Social Care and Policing teams in London, Dorset and the North West, with British Transport Police and the CQC working nationally. Designed by a team of software and medical experts, Thalamos is driven to improve mental health outcomes for both patients and professionals, delivering an end-to-end acute care pathway that's swifter, safer and simpler to navigate.
