Who you are
- Generalist mindset & business acumen: strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability—ready to dive into any area
- Prior experience: 1–2 years in startups, consulting, VC, or C-suite support role
- Exceptional communication: written, verbal, and presentation skills essential for cross-functional stakeholder management
- Content production proficiency: experience in video editing (TikTok, Reels)
What the job involves
- Founder's Associate (75%)
- Assist the CEO with critical matters, offloading work where necessary and helpful across PR, Finance, Operations and HR
- Assist with Press requests and Public Relations/Media
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and data-driven insights
- Lead high-impact projects end-to-end—coordinating cross-functional teams
- Serve as a point person for stakeholders, including investors, partners, and customers
- Content Creator (25%)
- Co-develop, shoot and edit social media content: short-form videos especially for Instagram and TikTok
- Maintain content calendar, manage workflows, and ensure consistent cadence across channels - capturing behind the scenes, offices, PR/events/press
- Edit and optimise content (Reels, TikToks, infographics); ensure brand voice alignment

Our take
Wearable fitness hardware and mobile applications have presented great potential in recent years for people to gamify and track their fitness, with further innovations being provided by smart hardware and computer vision technology. However, whilst this has led to the development of running, cycling, and other smart-home fitness applications, strength training is yet to see such progress.
MAGIC develops smart home gym technology that specialises in strength training, allowing users to receive measurable, personalised strength training from home, without the requirement of a human personal trainer. The company achieves this by providing IoT hardware such as smart dumbbells containing motion sensors, and a smart mirror that uses computer vision to present the interface for training, whilst providing body composition analysis.
As well as a unique product, the company is backed by an experienced team of fitness and technology experts. This includes the Head of Physical Training at the Royal Marines, former Olympic athletes and the Gravity jetpack engineers. 2024 seed funding is being used to expand its market reach, with the potential for US entry in the coming years.
