Our take
The Modern House is an estate agency that believes in design as a powerful force for good. The company is inspired by the principles of modernism and exclusively represents design-led homes across the UK.
Unlike other property agents, it is exclusive and only sells homes that pass what is referred to, in-house, as its ‘design review panel’. Prospective sellers have their properties vetted and many do not make the cut, but it is this unique model that attracts 70% more views per online listing than other agents who listed the same properties.
Since its conception in 2004, it has evolved outwards, increasingly becoming a visual and lifestyle brand, now with editorial output including a podcast, a popular Instagram account, and multiple published books attached to the agency.
