Our take
Pathrise offers training and mentoring services to help young people get jobs at top tech companies. While graduates may have the tech skills required for the job they’re applying for, they may not have the interview skills to secure that role. From overcoming language and cultural barriers, to cold emailing, the training covers a wide range of job-seeking skills.
Mentoring is a great way to gain skills, but it can be expensive, particularly for an unemployed student. Pathrise offers a unique way to pay for its services, with nothing to pay if you don’t find a job within 12 months, and if you do, you pay Pathrise 9% of your first year’s salary. Of course a mentoring service is only as good as the mentors employed to give their help and advice, but with a $9M investment in Series A funding, there is cash in the pot to aim for employing high-quality mentors that get results.
