Senior Data Scientist, Prealize Health

• PhD or MS in computer science, statistics, biostatistics, economics, or an equivalent discipline
• 4+ years demonstrated experience building commercial products
• Expertise in Python and experience with ML frameworks like Pytorch, Tensorflow etc
• Experience with distributed computing technologies like Spark
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Ability to process data and perform queries using SQL
• Proficiency in classical machine learning techniques as well as deep learning methods (representation learning using transformer architectures, large language models etc.)
• Ability to conduct independent research to develop strategies to solve novel challenges
• Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in an agile, open, and highly dynamic startup environment
• Some nice to have qualifications: familiarity with causal inference methods and experimental design, knowledge of C++, and experience in the healthcare domain

• The ideal candidate will apply state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to translate high-level complex business use cases into concrete real-world solutions
• They will have deep expertise in both classical machine learning and deep learning techniques, along with a strong background in research, development, and deploying products into production environments
• Develop high-performing machine learning models for predicting future health conditions and utilization needs of patients
• Collaborate with our clinical team to translate expert knowledge into testable, data-driven hypotheses
• Work with our product team to ensure we create the highest value products possible for our partners
• Work with our engineering team to enhance the quality, robustness, and extensibility of our platform for millions of patients
• Work with our advisors and keep up to date on relevant literature to ensure we use the best approaches available
• Document and present your work to the team and our partners
