Our take
As the gaming world evolves, developers look to new technologies and tools to improve their creative process. Generative AI – that uses unsupervised learning algorithms to create novel content – is one of these, that Unakin hopes to employ to help game developers research their projects, ideate and build protoypes.
Unakin is building a suite of tools to eliminate manual tasks in game creation and cut the time it takes for developers to complete their projects. Applications of the product include the creation of gameplay mechanics and narratives – all generated from a chat interface.
With the belief that text prompts are the future of creation, Unakin is getting in on the ground floor with a waitlist for beta access currently active on its site. It will be interesting to see how the product develops, and what impact it is able to have on the game creation space - especially as investor sentiment for generative AI is on the rise.
