Our take
Cometh is a French-based startup creating games built on blockchain technology. The games created can seamlessly connect with DeFi protocols, so they are equipped with a suite of crypto-based financial tools.
While the company's primary focus is on building an end-to-end gaming platform powering the next generation of play-to-earn games, it also focuses on helping gaming firms build out crypto functionality.
The company has raised significant funding in rounds led by Venture Capital firm White Star Capital, gaming giants Ubisoft, and DeFi group Stake Capital. As well as receiving interest from major gaming studios and brands, Cometh plans to utilize the funds raised to develop more games and blockchain software. October 2023 saw the company release a team-up with blockchain company AltLayer on a Layer 3 management product called Muster.
