Our take
Emerging from the venture-building firm LaunchPad, Payroll Panda is a HR and payroll software platform currently focused on the Malaysian market. Established by former heads of Jibble, Payroll Panda is dedicated to streamlining the onboarding process and simplifying staff payment setups, all without the need for extensive training.
Since securing seed funding in 2018, Payroll Panda has maintained a relatively low profile in terms of further funding, possibly due to its co-founders' involvement in various other ventures. Initially aiming to attain 20,000 paying customers in Malaysia before expanding into other regions within a five-year timeframe, the company appears to still be progressing towards this objective, with the outcome of these efforts remaining to be seen.
