Role
Who you are
- Has 5+ years of experience building web applications for SaaS tools
- Is deeply familiar with the react ecosystem and is equally comfortable writing frontend code as well as backend APIs
- Loves working in small teams with a strong bias for action
- Is collaborative in a remote-first setting and is a strong communicator
- Has a knack for problem-solving and thinking from first principles
- Loves shipping early, learning from real world usage, and iterating
- Holds a high bar for quality and simplicity and takes pride in their work
What the job involves
- Pocus is a powerful, flexible, and easy to use web application that thousands of users use daily to make critical revenue impacting decisions
- The product engineering team is responsible for continually improving and delivering value to our end-users while maintaining a high bar on quality and polish
- Full-stack engineers have the freedom to work across the stack — from building snappy user experiences in the frontend, to building powerful APIs that interact with our data platform
- We encourage ownership and autonomy and in this role you will work cross-functionally with our Product and Design functions to build products that solve real customer problems
- Pocus is powered by React and Nextjs. We use Typescript as our primary development language and communication happens via GraphQL
- Postgres is our database of choice
- Build a web-app that is reliable and extensible: Thousands of individuals use this daily to make critical, revenue-impacting decisions
- You will work directly with Product, Design, and Customers to drive value and play a key role in making our product feature-rich, stable, and delightful to use

Our take
Pocus is a marketing company founded in 2021 by Alexa Grabell and Isaac Pohl-Zaretsky. As the developers of a product-led sales platform, Pocus offers a unique alternative to current marketing trends by offering a service that lets customers see the product first-hand.
An understanding that the tech stack doesn’t accommodate this style of marketing means it has to do the heavy lifting for the consumer. As a solution, Pocus makes good use of automation tools to streamline its systems.
The Subscription as a service (SaaS) platform allows easy to read data to be translated from the back end for non-technical teams, then join it with customer data for tailored solutions.
Markets change and Pocus understands this. As consumers lose trust in new brands that rely on hyperbole and flashy branding to sell their product, an alternative where products are seen first-hand could become the new norm. Pocus is in a great position to lead the market for such a change and raised substantial capital in 2022 to do just that.
