Our take
Populus handles data and analytics to help cities and mobility operators manage the safety and movability of the streets. The SaaS product enables clients to assess the efficiency of its road and street systems with data analysis on shared commercial fleets and ride-hailing vehicles.
Having spread to more than 100 cities across the US and Israel, Populus has established itself as a premiere brand for data services and management of commercial fleets. Founded in 2017, it benefitted from launching at the height of the shared mobility trend, and covers bikes, scooters, shared cars, EVs, and automated cars.
Populus has defined its place in the industry as a trusted name, working with cities to transform their streets for the digital age. A recent partnership with Oakland, California is the latest such of these deals, and involves Populus helping the city with smart loading zones that will allow new frictionless payments for curb use.
