26% employee growth in 12 months
One of the greatest supply chain issues in the USA at present is a lack of truck drivers, and perhaps even more so, a lack of efficiency in driver workflow. aifleet sees itself as the solution, as its AI-driven workflow allows drivers to spend much less time waiting and thus make more money.
At a former company, co-founder and CTO Mark Farkas developed software designed to allow freight companies to optimize driver workflow. However, having seen established companies struggle to adapt, aifleet was launched as its own logistics firm in 2020.
Currently, aifleet is primarily leasing its trucks, but it eventually hopes to buy. Leasing has helped it conserve capital, but buying would mean lower costs over the long term. The company may look at the acquisition of smaller fleets in future to help it meet its growth goals.
By balancing its focus on both industry performance improvement and driver reward, the company has been able to grow quickly since its launch. Now that it’s secured major funding, it looks certain that a major scale-up is on the way to attempt to disrupt the legacy logistics companies.
