Role
Who you are
- Fluent in French and English
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a sales role with a great understanding of sales processes
- A degree in an appropriate field (sales, administration) or equivalent work experience is desired
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment with changing priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly PowerPoint)
- A problem solver capable of thinking outside the box
- Solid team player who can collaborate cross-functionally
What the job involves
- The company seeks to hire a resourceful, driven, and organised Senior Associate to support the Business Development team and contribute to the growth of TerraCycle in Europe with a core focus on the French market
- The position is based in Perivale, West London and reports to and work closely with a Business Development Manager
- The Senior Business Development Associate will join a team of 11 Business Development Managers and Associates, working closely with all team members
- This position is focusing on selling Recycling partnerships on the Business to Consumer channel
- The successful applicant will be approachable, organised, with excellent communication skills and the ability to organise their own workload in a fast-paced environment
- Develop TerraCycle’s French market expansion strategy by identifying potential brand
- Partners who need waste solutions for their products and packaging
- Identify industries and verticals, build and execute the outreach strategy
- Create and pitch deal presentations and proposals
- Drive the sales process and negotiations up until signature of contract, including for complex opportunities
- Close new partnerships and drive revenue on the European Market
- Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to develop strategic projects or improve internal processes
- Represent and promote TerraCycle during external events and workshops
- Training and mentoring junior members of the Business Development team
- Other duties as needed

Unfortunately, humans do not operate this way, resulting in the production of an incredible amount of waste that has cause a global garbage crisis. Terracycle aims to eliminate the idea of waste, and become a global leader in recycling non-recyclable waste.
Terracycle believes the main cause of landfills is the expense associated with recycling. Thus, they are tackling this through their business model which offers free recycling programs, funded by conscientious manufacturers, brands, and retailers.
As well as making a real impact on the environment in processing "millions of kilos a month” of hard-to-recycle materials, TerraCycle is generating tens of millions of dollars in revenue. The sustainable waste management company is continuing to expand, with a focus on developing new partnerships moving forward, such as those with coffee-pod company Tassimo and compost companies to create zero-waste bags.
