Company mission

To provide customers from agribusinesses to the government real-time thermal infrared data, which can be used for solutions from drought prediction to ecosystem monitoring to disease vector mapping.

Our take

Hydrosat uses a growing fleet of Earth observation satellites to deliver thermal infrared data that helps businesses, governments, and farmers monitor water stress, predict crop yields, optimise irrigation, and assess climate impacts. And by combining satellite imagery with advanced AI and machine-learning models, the company provides actionable insights for natural resource management, food security, public safety and national defence.

The company recently raised funding from a number of investors and sovereign wealth funds, marking a huge milestone in its growth. The funding is set to suppor5t the expansion of Hydrosat's thermal infrared satellite constellation, enhance satellite capabilities, and accelerate the company's expansion across key markets including the Middle East, North Africa, LATAM, and Central Asia.

Hydrosat also strengthened its position in the defence sector with a $1.9M contract with the US Air Force to enhance weather prediction models using its thermal satellite data, marking its fifth contract with the service. The agreement supports improved weather forecasting and operational decision-making for the military while further expanding Hydrosat's footprint in government and national security applications, an area of increasing important alongside its commercial water-resource management business.
