Our take
One Trading is a cryptocurrency trading platform serving newcomers, experienced traders and institutions alike. It is launching Europe’s first MiFID II regulated trading venue for crypto, bringing vital infrastructure to the digital trading space.
The company hopes to attract large liquidity providers through a membership model, counter to the more traditional pay-per-trade alternative. It also boasts the ability for orders to be created and cancelled in under 250 microseconds, which would make it the fastest crypto exchange for both retail and institutional clients.
Formerly known as Bitpanda Pro, One Trading rebranded and spun out from Bitpanda in 2023 to become a standalone entity. The company hopes this will allow it to produce faster product rollout, quicker listings, and an improved user experience overall. With this rebrand came a substantial funding round will be used to support the expansion of its crypto asset offerings throughout Europe.
