Role
Who you are
- Ideal candidates are mid or senior level today (5+ years of direct product management experience), with a strong product sense, and are excited about early stage product creation
- You have 5+ years of direct product management experience including experience building B2B SaaS products
- You can point to having built and released into the world impactful features that demonstrate impact and a high level of product sense and intuition. We’re innovating not optimising in known solution spaces
- Can drive exceptional execution across product, engineering, and design - we’re an early stage startup and we’re looking for someone comfortable and adept at creating impactful features not simply incepting them
- You are passionate about impact and startups - you’re a proactive self-starter who is comfortable dealing with a high degree of ambiguity
- You have an understanding of key climate change/sustainability themes; experience in climate is valuable but not essential. We need you to care about the problem space though!
What the job involves
- CUR8 is looking for a talented and ambitious Senior Product Manager to join our growing product, design, and engineering team
- This is an exciting opportunity to join as our 2nd product hire, working with our exceptionally talented team
- You will report to our Product Director but will be expected to own and shape an entire product for CUR8 - with autonomy
- Identifying, shaping, and quantifying opportunities for CUR8 to go after
- Developing product vision, strategy, and roadmap for your product area
- Building delightful solutions to our users’ problems
- Designing and building market experiments to help us to continue to learn, evolve, and pivot our offering
- Understanding more than anyone else about the needs and wants of sustainability and finance teams
- Simplifying the complex world of Carbon Removals
- Solving first of a kind data problems
- Collaborating with the rest of the CUR8 team to create groundbreaking data products

Our take
Global industries are facing increasing pressure to decarbonise their operations by 2050 in order to fulfil net-zero commitments. One essential strategy for offsetting unavoidable emissions is through carbon removals. However, despite the urgency and necessity to reach net-zero targets, the carbon removal industry is still in its early stages and faces challenges that discourage companies from investing in carbon removal portfolios.
CUR8, a climate startup headquartered in London, is building the tools to professionalise and accelerate the carbon removal industry. The platform facilitates the purchase of carbon removal credits from suppliers and constructs carbon removal portfolios that integrate a range of strategies and methods. Currently, with an industry-standard set price of £150 per carbon removal, CUR8 hopes to bring this price down over time as the industry expands, ensuring accessibility for companies of all sizes.
Well on its way to scaling, the startup has raised substantial capital to kick-start its growth plans. With backing from GV (Google Ventures) among others, CUR8 intends to use this funding to grow its team, scale up capacity and further develop its platform in order to play a critical role in helping solve the challenges posed by the current climate crisis.
