Our take

Creating an equality of opportunity for people of all different backgrounds is more prevalent now than ever before. It’s uncommon that you come across a company without a diversity or equal opportunities statement within their careers section. The root of equality in varying careers begins with the educational opportunities young people can access. upReach is a social charity that funds programs and tech access for students to broaden their future possibilities.

The company focuses on students from disadvantaged backgrounds who may not have access or funds to otherwise learn from certain techniques or obtain certain information due to limited education resources. Working with several partners and universities to make this possible upReach has an impressive collaborator list including Google, Amazon and Samsung. Offering several programs, courses, 1-1 options and more the company has created a library of products to support users.

Since its founding the company has had impressive wins and statistics to boast the amazing work it pioneered. 72% of upReach Associates are from BAME backgrounds and over half are female. This alongside many other achievements highlights the transformational work the company are doing and we’re excited to see how this continues as its work is inarguably important.
