Role
Who you are
- 5+ years experience in a fast-paced sales role with proven results
- Be a highly effective communicator with the ability to build rapport with customers from a variety of cultural backgrounds
- Eager to learn, grow and develop in a high growth scale up environment
- Great customer service skills with a customer outcome driven focus and approach
- Strong administrative capabilities
- Be in a commutable distance to City of London/Central London, within a 5 min walk of Monument tube station on the Circle and District line
What the job involves
- Drive growth via a customer and solution focused approach. Based out of our City of London, Monument office, this role will be responsible for handling sales inquiries and educating customers on Splends products and benefits
- Progress the customer lead through the pipeline from inquiry to subscription, working closely with the Operations team to ensure an exciting and engaging process for our customer, finding them a product and solution that fits
- Educating customers across our product suite and service offering and Splends points of difference
- Educating customers on the benefits and potential earning and lifestyle that on-demand driving can offer and how we can support their journey
- Help customers new to Uber by booking them into our Splend Assist program and communicate the required documents to bring with them
- Scheduling appointments (via phone/email/chat)
- Work closely with the Operation and depot teams to ensure we are maximising all sales potentials
- Maintain a high level of customer service in line with Splends values and passion for our customers

Our take
Splend was launched with the intention of letting anyone generate an income by driving for Uber, even if they don't own a car. They now own thousands of vehicles across the world, which they rent to people so they can drive for ride-sharing companies.
Splend piggy-backed off the growth of ride-sharing companies, mainly Uber, which enabled it to attract significant investment. Even though the ride-sharing market is starting to wane in popularity, the industry is stilll filled with well-backed companies, and Splend has ridden this wave to becoming a self-sustaining company.
Splend has now moved on to explore other gig economy opportunities like food and parcel delivery, as well as shifting focus to electric and hybrid cars to support the green transition. Recently, it received a grant from the Clean Energy Financing Corporation (CEFC) that will be used to double the number of EVs in its fleet.
