Text messaging is a versatile marketing strategy for brands, especially with mobile phone ownership and engagement on the rise. This issue, however, is how to manage large-scale engagement: the messaging needs to be on-brand, timely, and engaging. Voxie has developed an AI chatbot that works over SMS, helping brands engage customers more intimately and at scale.
The conversational AI market is getting crowded, certainly, but this could work in Voxie’s favor. Quiq, Futr, and Yellow.ai are among the many that have received substantial funding over recent years, but their focus (along with many emerging startups) is largely on the use of conversational AI in customer service.
Voxie’s use of AI to streamline the SMS marketing funnel is slightly different. This means that whilst it’s likely to benefit from the general upswing in business demand for the technology, it occupies a slightly different niche that insulates it from some of the competition.
