Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate is a marketing generalist with experience in both setting strategy as well as diving in to execute who indexes high for demand generation and growth marketing
- We're open to multiple levels of experience for this role, though targeting individuals with 8+ years of experience in marketing
- More than anything, we're looking for people who are a great fit for Poggio
- Creative problem solving, data-driven decision making, and strong cross-functional collaboration
- Track record of scaling early stage B2B SaaS companies to build brand awareness and achieve significant ARR milestones
- Expert level proficiency in modern marketing channels and tools across demand/lead gen, web, digital, SEO/SEM, content, field marketing and events, product marketing, marketing ops, and more
- Deep understanding of enterprise sales cycles and how to create and execute marketing programs that engage ICPs and accelerate deal velocity to closed/won
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms and leveraging generative AI to drive marketing operations and efficiencies at scale
- Working knowledge of AI/ML tech and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to enterprise revenue, RevOps, and sales enablement leaders
What the job involves
- We are looking for an AI-native, experienced, and ambitious marketing lead to help us scale our GTM engine and drive growth across marketing functions
- This role is focused on high leverage projects that span demand generation, digital marketing, content, thought leadership, product marketing, customer marketing, events, and more
- Exhibit a strong desire to win as a team
- Be extremely curious, open-minded, and action oriented with regards to optimizing growth through experimentation
- Partner closely with product, marketing, sales, and company leadership to execute a winning GTM motion
- Explore, champion, and apply emerging techniques across marketing, GTM, and generative AI to amplify impact
- Wear a lot of hats—expect to be involved in a variety of functions and projects across marketing, sales, and GTM
- Demand gen: Plan and execute marketing campaigns to generate qualified pipeline, drive trials, optimize lead nurturing, and accelerate deal velocity to closed/won
- Digital marketing: Own website optimization and conversion, manage SEO/SEM strategy, and execute targeted digital advertising across LinkedIn, podcasts, and industry newsletters
- Content & thought leadership: Create and promote compelling blogs, white papers, research reports, and guides that establish thought leadership, plus manage our monthly customer newsletter
- Product marketing: Lead product launches with cross-functional teams, conduct competitive analysis to inform positioning, and manage analyst relations to build category awareness
- Customer marketing: Build out customer success library including case studies, video testimonials, and sales enablement materials

- Cross-functional Interview (45 min video call): You will meet with someone from outside of marketing to discuss your past experience working in and supporting GTM teams
- Marketing Skills Interview (60 min video call): You’ll meet with one or more members of the GTM team to present your high level marketing recommendations and how you would execute them to drive success (more detail to be provided in a pre-interview prompt)
- Senior Leadership Meeting (45 min video call): You’ll meet individually with one or both of our co-founders (Co-founder & CEO and Co-founder & CTO) for a final assessment of Poggio fit while giving you an opportunity to ask questions about the company, our vision and mission, and growth trajectory
Our take
Salesforce has long been the leading light in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software; but the market is getting cluttered. The incumbent has invested, astutely, into capitalizing on its deep penetration by packing out additional features; but major rivals like Oracle Sales right down to a flurry of smaller startups like Optimove are looking to siphon off some of its market share. Poggio Labs is one of them.
The company is in its early stages still, and keeping details on its CRM software very much under wraps. It has, however, dropped one hint: the suggestion that its software will help “power intelligent relationships”. Intelligent software, software that employs AI and ML to automate areas like analysis and big data management, is widely touted to be the future of CRMs. It means salespeople can access more accurate insights, and chase more promising leads.
Whether this will serve as the core of Poggio Labs remains to be seen - and with Salesforce already working with intelligent systems, Poggio Labs will have a tough fight either way in wrestling away some of its market share.
