Role
Who you are
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, with a strong background in C# and Azure Functions. Proven experience with React, TypeScript, and HTML/CSS
- Proficiency in C# and experience with Azure Functions
- Expertise in React, TypeScript, and HTML & CSS.
- Strong experience with Azure Cosmos DB or similar NoSQL databases
- Solid understanding of modern software development practices and methodologies
- Understanding of how to build and maintain DevOps pipelines

- Material UI experience useful
What the job involves
- Architecture & Design: Lead the design and architecture of complex software solutions, ensuring they align with Zeti's technical and environmental goals
- Development: Write, test, and maintain clean, efficient, and reliable code in C# for Azure Functions and in React with TypeScript and Material UI for the frontend
- Database Management: Utilise Azure Cosmos DB to design and manage efficient data models, ensuring high-performance data access while supporting our sustainability objectives
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver features that enhance our green fintech solutions
- Code Quality: Advocate for and implement best practices in coding, testing, and code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality and reliability
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to development and production environments
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending improvements to our tech stack and development processes to support our rapid growth and sustainability goals
- DevOps: Improve upon existing DevOps pipelines and build new ones (using GitHub Actions)

Our take
Increasing CO2 emissions are one of the causes of climate change, and air pollution kills thousands of people in the UK every year. Therefore, the eco-friendly vehicle market is rapidly growing, with most major car manufacturers starting production of new electric models. New cars and vans powered wholly by petrol and diesel will not be sold in the UK from 2030 and from April 6th 2020 the UK government introduced huge tax savings for people who lease an electric vehicle through their company. Because of this, there is expected to be a huge shift in the market towards electric vehicles.
Zeti is working to disrupt zero-emissions cargo vehicle financing, creating the digital future to facilitate clean mobility. Its fintech platform enables operators to transition to EVs by financing fleets and associated infrastructure on a pay-as-you-drive basis. Zeti deploys institutional capital into vehicles, charging infrastructure, and supporting services to make the transition easy, overcoming capital investment challenges whilst improving cash flow for the operators of the vehicles.
It initially offered its services to private individuals in the Hackney Carriages taxi sector, but expanded to become a full business-to-business operation in 2021 and is rapidly closing in on 1,000 funded vehicles. Zeti is building a new platform called Zero, which will interpret data to create fleet management reports on driver behaviour and CO2/ NOx emissions for the customer.
