Our take
Directing the flow of consumer finances towards fighting climate change is an extremely powerful way to affect change. Treecard aims to do this by providing a way for consumers to spend more responsibly and to date has planted over 6 million trees.
It is partnered with Ecosia - the eco-friendly search engine - and will be working very closely with them as it grows. In particular, Treecard will be doing all the tree planting and the search engine will provide a core channel for user acquisition.
Treecard is well positioned to become the leading green finance brand with a full suite of products for conscious consumers and business users (green investing, expense cards, bank to bank payments). This is a position no brand has claimed yet.
