Around 1 in 10 people around the world don't have access to clean water and 1 in 4 people don’t have a decent sanitation. WaterAid is an international not-for-profit that aims to come up with a solution to this unacceptable situation.
WaterAid was founded by members of the UK water industry in 2007. The NGO provides millions of people from developing countries with clean drinking water, decent toilets, and good sanitation. Due to the contribution of WaterAid, over 27m people around the world enjoy these basic rights.
The company's main activities are incentivizing governments to change regulation, connecting policymakers with local stakeholders, collecting donations from people and organizations around the world, and implementing solutions specially designed to address particular problems faced by a community. Their vision is to contribute to a world where every person on the planet has access to clean water and toilets by 2030.
