Our take

Cancer can be a terrifying and isolating experience. Macmillan Cancer Support was founded to offer cancer patients and their families personalized healthcare and support.

First founded in 1911, Macmillan is one of the UK's best-known charities, with almost 8,000 professional healthcare specialists posted around the country. The charity's leadership place a strong emphasis on innovation, not only in the way they treat patients, but also in the way they raise and maximize funds. This is part of the reason that Macmillan has maintained its impressive reputation.

Macmillan has a number of important partnerships with companies such as pharmacy retail giant Boots and energy company nPower. These relationships, as well as the strong focus on innovation, will serve the charity well in the years to come.
