Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of TradFi experience in trading, risk management, or quantitative research at a front-office role (large bank, hedge fund, or market maker)
- Quantitative expertise: Extensive hands-on experience using programming tools (SQL, Python, R, or similar) to answer critical business questions and provide actionable guidance
- Crypto experience: Professional experience in DeFi or crypto is ideal; alternatively, deep personal experience is acceptable. You should be able to explain how MEV works at a high level, have used DeFi protocols and self-custody wallets, and ideally have experience with analytics platforms like Dune
- Demonstrated ability to manage disagreements about risk assessments and to develop risk frameworks for novel strategies or new instruments
- Intermediate to expert-level knowledge in both DeFi and TradFi—ideally expert in one, intermediate in the other. We're not looking for someone who needs to be taught basic concepts from scratch in either domain

What the job involves
- The mission of this role is to bridge TradFi risk expertise and DeFi protocol mechanics, enabling Morpho to confidently onboard institutional integrators by providing rigorous risk analysis, actionable data insights, and clear guidance on how traditional financial standards interface with on-chain realities
- Advise TradFi integrators on risk management frameworks to help them confidently adopt the Morpho protocol while meeting their regulatory and internal standards
- Translate complex DeFi mechanisms (curator behavior, liquidations, on-chain risk) into language and frameworks familiar to traditional finance to accelerate institutional adoption
- Execute independent data analysis using SQL, Python, or Dune to answer critical questions from both internal teams and external partners
- Build and maintain dashboards and queries that surface key risk metrics to empower decision-making across integration and product teams
- Develop deep expertise in Morpho's protocol architecture and risk model to serve as the go-to resource for risk-related questions
- Educate DeFi-native colleagues on TradFi conventions and standards to strengthen Morpho's ability to speak the language of institutional clients
- Identify data gaps and edge cases in integration scenarios to proactively mitigate risks before they impact integrators or end users
- What Success Looks Like:
- In your first 30 days:
- You'll develop a detailed understanding of the Morpho stack, how integrations are architected, and what curators and integrators need. You'll write initial Dune queries or Python scripts independently to deepen your grasp of the protocol and begin contributing to internal discussions
- By Month 4–6:
- You'll actively contribute to TradFi integration initiatives as a subject matter expert on topics like liquidations or curator actions. You'll answer ad hoc questions with confidence and build queries or dashboards that others—internally and externally—find genuinely useful
- By Month 12:
- You'll own a critical dashboard, query, or data source that the team relies on. You'll lead or co-own a TradFi integration, acting as the trusted risk advisor who ensures both technical rigor and institutional credibility

Morpho Labs’ Morpho Blue is a blockchain layer for protocols and apps to be built upon. Empowering the ability to externalise risk management, it allows blockchain creators to integrate the layer into their own risk and compliance systems. Ultimately, Morpho is a lending protocol built upon open-source algorithms.
Originally founded as an optimisation layer for interest rate improvements, it has now evolved into a base layer for builders of crypto lending applications. With the intention of making DeFi protocols more accessible and easy to use through a user-controlled risk assessment platform, the company has attracted significant interest from big-hitting investors such as Coinbase Ventures and Variant. Morpho intends to use these funds to accelerate its mission to make financial infrastructure a public good.
