Who you are
- Bachelors or relevant work experience or certification/courses
- At least 3 years of experience in sales, account executive/management, or any similar role, with a preference for experience in the Technology/SaaS industry
- Experience with CRM products (contact, pipeline management, and actively maintaining good CRM hygiene)
- Experience in Office Suite (PPT, Excel, Word)
- Passion and interest in the game industry
- Strong experience in customer communications, managing expectations, and providing transparency to clients
- Experience in verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in developing short and long-term sales plans and comprehensive sales strategies
- History of effective event participation and support
- Proven track record of progressing and closing opportunities
- Ability and desire to learn AccelByte products and services such that they can be an effective sales person
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex issues and think critically
- Flexible in adjusting to shifting priorities and deadlines

What the job involves
- The Account Executive is a key contributor to our Sales and Marketing team. You will be responsible for acquiring new clients and driving revenue growth. This role is suitable for a professional with a solid background in sales and customer management
- Collaborate with the sales team to secure new business and drive revenue growth
- Lead the development of the sales process, including selecting and implementing sales tools
- Play a substantial role in shaping the sales strategy and providing accurate sales forecasts
- Execute sales opportunities, targeting both new and existing clients
- Manage and expand the sales pipeline
- Cultivate strong client relationships, understanding their operational needs and technical challenges, and delivering maximum value from our products and services
- Exceed revenue-oriented quotas
- Collaborate with the Sales team to drive a seamless onboarding process for new clients, ensuring an in-depth understanding of their objectives, requirements, and long-term expectations
- Partner closely with our technical teams, including solutions architects and engineers, to craft and present advanced solutions that align seamlessly with the client's technical needs and project goals
- Develop and maintain strategic, long-lasting relationships with clients, acting as their trusted advisor and primary point of contact for all AccelByte solutions
- Serve as a bridge between clients and technical teams, proactively facilitating effective communication and ensuring that evolving client needs are met across the project lifecycle
- Take the lead in managing and coordinating complex projects, including in-depth timelines, critical milestones, and deliverables, all aimed at ensuring the successful implementation of solutions
- Maintain advanced levels of clear and regular communication with clients, providing comprehensive updates on project progress, technical advancements, and industry trends
- Play an active role in contract renewals and negotiations, setting the stage for lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with clients while driving business growth
- Perform other duties as assigned
Our take
The gaming industry is still booming with industry revenues forecast to exceed $320 billion by 2026, driven largely by the rise of cross platform online multiplayer games. However this has created a problem for developers themselves, who often lack the backend infrastructure required to build, scale, and operate live games.
AccelByte was founded by former EA, Lucasfilm Games, and Epic Games Technical Lead Junaili Lie to offer a “one stop shop” backend platform, in a bid to free developers up to design games rather than build infrastructure.
Since launching in 2016, the company has grown rapidly and now counts a considerable number of major gaming studios amongst its customers including Dreamhaven, Omeda Studios, and Warner Bros.
AccelByte has had little trouble raising capital either, securing funding from SoftBank and Sony Interactive Entertainment to propel its expansion through North America, Europe, and Asia, where both the consumer gaming market and the game development industry is going through a huge surge.
