Zearn learnt that the closure of schools during the pandemic caused children, particularly of low-income families, to participate less with the learning platform. Zearn now leads the push to make up for the missed learning of these students.

A non-profit, Zearn is not driven by money but by educational success of kids. The digital platform recognises the importance of role models and children seeing themselves in their learning, therefore platforms diverse in-site educators. Daily diagnostics provide bespoke data that flags when kids are progressing or when they need additional intervention.

Funding, including from the Gates Foundation, continues the development of Zearn’s data analytics capacity to more effectively support children's learning.
