Role
Who you are
- Proven experience in a senior sales position, preferably within a start-up environment
- Strong knowledge within SaaS sales, and ideally experience selling to utilities, energy or automotive clients
- Ability to think strategically with a track record of successfully identifying and closing new business, ideally with enterprise clients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision making
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills
- Proactivity - you will continually push for more and suggest and implement processes and ways of working to be better
- Alignment to the vision, mission, and values of ev.energy
What the job involves
- You'll lead our business development efforts across the EU and UK markets, focusing on generating new business opportunities and building strategic partnerships
- You will be a player-coach to a small team in a fast-paced, start-up environment, fostering collaboration across diverse sectors to drive growth and expand our market presence
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across utilities, electrical distribution, smart home and automotive sectors
- Developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals
- Negotiating contracts and agreements aligning with our business objectives
- Building relationships with key partners, stakeholders and industry SMEs to collaborate and drive success
- Building a robust sales pipeline, prioritising for maximum impact
- Coach team members to develop a high performance team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation; setting clear performance expectations and providing regular feedback
- Preparing and delivering high quality presentations, engaging pitches and scoping meetings with prospecting clients as you articulate the value of our SaaS solutions
- Prepare and present regular reports to the executive team, providing insights into business development activities, market trends, and performance metrics
- There will be travel in this role - up to 50%
Our take
Properly managing electric vehicle charging is critical to a low carbon future. With a growing numbers of EV rolling out over the world, ev.energy is tackling the unique set of pain points that exists for EV users.
The company has created an easy-to-use app to support users with each EV charging session. The app optimises and schedules charging times relative to grid demand, helping EV owners avoid peak tariffs, save money, prevent over-congestion on the grid and use the greenest electricity possible.
Strategic moves, such as a recent partnership struck with Easee that will combine ev.energy's software with Easee's domestic chargers, are an example of how the company is continually working to provide an optimised experience for users while maximising the use of renewable energy.
