Role
Who you are
- 2+ years of work experience in QA, machine learning, or data engineering
- Hands-on experience and a solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning methods
- Must have experience working with a machine learning stack: Jupyter Notebook, NumPy, scipy, pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc
- Programming experience in Javascript using Artillery.io, or Cypress.io is a plus
- Must have experience working with BDD test frameworks: Pytest, Cucumber, JUnit, etc
- Comfortable working in a 50% automated and 50% manual testing environment
- Ability to identify test requirements from specifications, document test case scenarios, and design test plans
- Hands-on experience writing functional, systems integration, regression, and performance test scenarios
- Hands-on experience end-to-end testing machine learning algorithms, web services, and databases
- Ability to set up test data needed for testing AI/ML algorithms
- Ability to execute positive and negative test cases in a timely manner, analyze test results, and identify defects
- Ability to explain defects in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to deliver manual and automation deliverables in a fast-paced development lifecycle
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Proven track record of improving AI/ML model accuracy through testing
- Must know quality assurance processes and tools
- Desire to learn and test new systems, not just an application
- Enjoys building test frameworks and processes from scratch
- Maintains composure under pressure
- Excels independently and in a team environment
- Willing to learn and incorporate new technologies
- Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement
- Excellent project and time management skills
- Four (4) year bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (computer science, data science, mathematics, electrical engineering) or equivalent work experience

What the job involves
- As a Test Engineer at Prescriptive Data, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality of the AI/ML applications developed in the engineering and core research departments
- Your day-to-day involves designing and implementing tests for machine learning algorithms, developing quality metrics, and establishing QA processes around AI/ML
- Establish Quality Metrics/KPIs for AI/ML
- Play a major role in improving the quality, functionality, reliability, and usability of machine learning and AI software packages
- Interact with product development team(s) to evaluate system interfaces, operational, and performance requirements of the overall system
- Participate in continuous improvement of the testing process and procedures by analyzing reported bugs, assessing test coverage, and pinpointing problem areas
- Create and expand automated tests for AI/ML software packages
- Execute tests & analyze test results to ensure the quality of existing and new functionalities
- Participate in production deployments by coordinating, monitoring, and verifying new releases
