Our take
Most of the energy consumed in the US goes to waste, and a massive proportion of that is surplus usage for buildings. Prescriptive Data was created to meet the growing demand for a building-management system that minimises this waste.
Not alone in looking to treat this problem, the startup has distinguished itself in a number of ways. Primarily, its technology uniquely uses bleeding-edge technologies like AI, IoT, and Big Data combined with institutional knowledge from its real estate background.
Now, the startup is adjusting its focus to capitalise on the increasing focus on ESG standards among its clients with millions of square feet in commercial real estate. The technology is well-aligned to have a major impact on emissions reductions in the face of both public consciousness and increasing regulation.
